The North Sea has become one of the most strategically important areas in Europe. Offshore energy, shipping, ports, wind farms, data cables and vital infrastructure play a crucial role in our economy and our safety.

During the first edition of the Dutch Maritime Academy, Rob de Wijk, the authority in the field of geopolitical and international security, shares his vision on the consequences of hybrid warfare for the Dutch maritime sector.

Prior to the lecture, Dutch Maritime Mission provides an inspiring keynote on the power of top sport as a driver of maritime innovation. On the basis of the development of a Dutch next-generation IMOCA 60, we show how the Formula 1 of ocean sailing can contribute to the acceleration of maritime innovation, autonomous sailing and international cooperation.
